The new Kaizer Chiefs Home and Away kits for the 2017/18 season features a modern aesthetic, personifying the club’s heritage alongside a fresh application of the club’s signature gold and black.
The Home jersey stands out in its hallmark taxi gold with an understated block pattern extending from the round neck collar to the sleeve cuffs. The jersey is paired with taxi gold shorts and socks.
The sides of the kit feature a black stripe that runs the length of the jersey and shorts, which expand when the player is in motion to maximise ventilation and amplify the effect of speed.

The all black Away jersey is accentuated with gold narrow horizontal stripes on the front and back of the bodice, with a gold round neck collar. The kit is completed with black shorts and taxi gold socks.
The kit features high-performance materials and lightweight construction crafted to enhance ventilation and moisture management, and increase the athletes’ ease of motion and precision.
Nike leverages sustainable innovation for its football kits through the use of recycled polyester, delivering unrivaled performance and lower environmental impact. The kit’s shirt and shorts are constructed with recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles melted down to produce a fine yarn.
Each kit is made using approximately 16 recycled plastic bottles. Since 2010, Nike has diverted more than three billion plastic bottles from landfills into recycled polyester, enough to cover about 5,200 football pitches.
The Home kit will be available in Kaizer Chiefs retail starting July 14 and in Nike Stores and Totalsports from July 17.
A first for South African football, the club collection also features a new tailored women’s fit for the female fans.
The First Team will debut the Home kit in their Carling Black Label Champion Cup match against Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium on July 29.
