KickOff.com brings you the Nike Fire & Ice Boot Guide

The boot is extremely comfortable, with the dynamic-fit collar undoubtedly the most exciting part about it. When I first saw it, the boot had all the right characteristics to make me want to try it on immediately. Upon fitment, I found it relatively easy to slip my foot into and it instantly felt snug.

It is extremely light in weight, which came to my aid in the training drills that required pace and agility, while the grip of the studs was also very impressive.

The Nike Grip innersole also came in handy as I hardly felt any slipping of my foot inside the boot. Striking the ball (I obviously hit the target, haha!) felt great too, the Teijin microfibre upper with the speed ribs helped significantly with my control as I tried to bend the ball into the net during the set-piece challenge.

Knowing the Mercurial Vapor XI will be worn by international superstars such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe makes me even more proud to have been able to put it to the test. It is a really great football boot overall.

Extremely light-weight.

Quite comfortable and supportive of foot movement.

Very appealing on the eye.

snl24.com/kickoff brings you the Nike Fire Ice Boot Guide. For the exciting new Nike range launched in November 2017, Kick Off journalists paired with Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana athletes, striker Bernard Parker and attacking midfielder George Maluleka, to put the Nike Fire Ice range through its paces. Parker led #TeamFire and Maluleka led #TeamIce to see whether power (#TeamFire) or composure (#TeamIce) would win the day. Which team are you on?
