"The jersey's pattern is inspired by the iconic mosaics located in the creative hub of Manchester's Northern Quarter and pays homage to a city brimming with football and creativity," an official statement from the club read.
"Mosaics have also been an important part of Manchester City's history, stretching back almost 100 years to when the original City mosaic first adorned the gates of the Maine Road Stadium.
"Today, the mosaic tradition continues with many club legends being immortalised as mosaic artworks at the City Football Academy, inspiring the next generation of players."
