On Tuesday, PSG paid homage to legendary fashion designer and former club chairman Daniel Hechter, who was the designer of the club's "Hechter shirt" in 1973, by releasing their latest kit in his honour.
"There is perhaps no more fitting way to celebrate 50 years of Paris Saint-Germain than through the return of this iconic design," PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaïfi said in an official statement.
"As a young institution, ties to our origins serve to remind us of our heritage – how far the club has come on our journey so far, and of our exciting future ahead.
"It is with great pride we that we wear these colours and represent the city of Paris. Style, passion, ambition and energy, embodied perfectly by this historic jersey.
"Reintroducing this beloved design pays homage to the many great players that have represented, and continue to represent, our club with pride and honour, and equally to the lifeblood of Paris Saint-Germain – our supporters at home and across the globe.
"Thank you. Together, represented by these jerseys, we will write the next chapter of our history with both perspective and limitless ambition."
