This is the first time since the 2015/16 campaign the club has gone with the colour after using black, gold, salmon and blue in their away offerings in recent years, while they also chose to put the club crest within a shield that is similar to the iconic teams of the past, include the 1998/99 side.

Another Premier League team that recently showcased a new design is Arsenal, who dropped their black and gold away kit late last week. This is the first time in the London club's history that they have combined these two colours for a playing strip.

The inspiration behind the shirt is said to be the team's celebration of a section of their US supporters known as the "Little Islingtons".

Elsewhere, Juventus released their 2022/23 away kit, which takes inspiration from the night matches played at the Allianz Stadium.

The Serie A club decided to change from its classic striped pattern to a new and fresh black colourway lit with a starry design. The carbon-coloured stars are repeated throughout the kit, creating a bold pattern and unique look.

Last, but not certainly least, Paris Saint-Germain have also revealed their away strip for next season, which is predominantly grey with black and brown variations.

The shirt is said to pay homage to the "mythical Parisian enclosure" that is the Parc des Princes, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

Other teams who recently released new playing strips include Everton and Brentford, who both showed off their away kits – scroll through the gallery above to see more the latest kits you may have missed!
