Makua, who joined Ajax in August 2016, spent the second half of last season on loan at National First Division outfit Cape Town All Stars.
The 25-year-old made his Urban Warriors debut against Chippa United at Cape Town Stadium in the 2016/17 season.
Ajax confirmed his exit "by mutual consent" on the club's website.
The club have also kept mum on reports their chief scout Sergio dos Santos has left Ikamva.
