Mzizi had a brief spell at Uthongathi FC last season, while Bucs development product Mukasi, who was highly touted a few years ago, has previously turned out for Ndengeza FC in the ABC Motsepe League and Dube Continental in the SAB League.
"Mzizi is training with Leopards," says a source close to Leopards.
"The coach Joel Masutha is still assessing him.
"Moses Mukasi, who also played for Dube Continental and Pirates' development team, is also at Leopards and looks set to sign."
Lidoda Duvha also have their eye on Zambian striker Lazarous Kambole and Zimbabwean defender Devine Lunga, while they are assessing Lesotho duo Nkoto Masoabi and Tumelo Khutlang, as well as ex-Chiefs midfielder Chris Matombo.
Meanwhile, promotional play-offs winners Leopards will be waiting on direction from the PSL on their topflight standing after Ajax Cape Town were reinstated to 15th position on the log following a court ruling in their favour over the Tendai Ndoro eligibility saga.
