The 24-year-old Kambole plays his club football upfront for Zesco United, while 23-year-old defender Lunga plies his trade for Chicken Inn.
Kaizer Chiefs had their eye on Lunga prior to snapping up fellow left-back Letlhogonolo Mirwa from Buya Msuthu last month.
"The one from Zesco is very determined to play for Leopards, so he is really pushing for the move to happen," says a source.
"He is no longer interested in playing in Zambia and Leopards' management are aware of that. So in all likelihood Leopards will win this boy Kambole.
"But it's a little bit tough with the other one because clubs like Chicken Inn have been dealing with big teams when it comes to transfers, so they want a lot of money for Lunga.
"But what I can say is that both players are really interested to don the famous black and yellow of Black Leopards."
Leopards are also assessing Lesotho duo Nkoto Masoabi and Tumelo Khutlang, as well as former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Chris Matombo ahead of their campaign in the Absa Premiership in 2018/19 following their promotion as play-offs winners.
