Mosimane chased Nthethe for some time before landing the player’s signature from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2014, a big signing for the club as they went on to win the Absa Premiership title that year.
Nthethe, who was at times given the captain's armband, was a key member of Sundowns’ success, winning silverware both domestically and on the continent – the biggest one being the CAF Champions League title in 2016.
The 33-year-old made just two appearances in all competitions in his final season with the Brazilians, who won an unprecedented eighth PSL title.
“He is one of the best and I was quite excited with the way he was managing the team. I am very grateful for the chance I got at Sundowns.”
Nthethe knows that he will have to work hard to get into the Chippa side which has the likes of Ayabulela Konqobe, James Okwuosa and Frederic Nsabiyumva.
“I am going to work very hard because I believe it’s not going to be easy. The team was doing well this past season and the season before that. With the experience I got, I will do my best and try to guide the youngsters. I am going to apply myself to the team.”
