Chideu was previously on the books of Golden Arrows last season but he was deemed surplus to requirements at the end of the campaign.
The former Ajax Cape Town man struggled to force his way into the starting line-up ahead of compatriot Knox Mutizwa and Lerato Lamola, who recently extended his contract with the KZN outfit.
Chideu made seven appearances in all competitions for Arrows and scored twice; against Polokwane City and Bloemfontein Celtic. He made only one start in his time, a clear sign that he was not going to break into the team going forward.
He now has a chance to resurrect his career in his home country with FC Platinum.
''Talent is God given, be humble. Fame is man given, be thankful. Pride is self-given. Destiny can only be delayed, not denied,'' Chideu wrote on his Facebook account, dressed in the green kit of Platinum.
''New home [is] an opportunity to make memorable history. In God we trust.''
The 21-year-old came to the PSL to join Ajax in 2015/16 from Highlanders in Zimbabwe. He did not make a mark with the Urban Warriors before he was let go to join Arrows.
