Kaizer Chiefs loanee Emmanuel Letlotlo will be given a platform to shine at Baroka FC

Letlotlo, on loan from Kaizer Chiefs, had been tipped to break into the line-up at Naturena after impressing in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge (MDC), but was unable to do so. The man, who goes by the nickname ‘Adebayor’, joined Amakhosi in 2011 and went on to become an important player for the club in the MDC.

He bagged nine goals in 15 MDC appearances in 2015/16, walking away with the top scorer award at the PSL Awards held at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg. Despite doing well for Amakhosi’s reserve side, he could not break into the first team.

He made a total of six appearances in all competitions over two seasons and has now been sent out on loan for a season to Bakgaga, where he has an opportunity to show what he can do in front of goal.

“He has unfinished business with South African football. It’s up to him to shine,” Mammila tells snl24.com/kickoff.

“We are going to give him the platform to shine and continue where he left off [in the MDC].”

With more game-time, Letlotlo will get more confidence to do what he was known for in the MDC – scoring goals.
