Billiat completed what is believed to be a lucrative deal from Mamelodi Sundowns to Amakhosi last month, reportedly snubbing a few offers from abroad.
The 27-year-old attacker has since linked up with his new teammates after a short break back home in Zimbabwe, following his exploits with The Warriors in the COSAFA Cup.
“When I got here it was easy for me, the guys welcomed me so well and it feels like I’ve been here before,” Billiat told KC TV.
Despite having won every piece of major silverware during his time with The Brazilians, including the CAF Champions League and Super Cup, the former Ajax Cape Town star has his sights set on adding to his medal tally while helping Chiefs return to their previous heights.
“As a player, you always want to achieve the team goals. The team has its own goals, and we have our personal goals,” he added.
“I believe we’re here for the same goal. We want to win trophies and put the team where it belongs.”
Known to be the most supported club in South Africa, Billiat has shared a touching message with the Glamour Boys faithful, who he has labelled ’the best’.
“I’m so happy to be here [at Chiefs]. I’m looking forward to a great relationship with you guys [the supporters]. I’ve been seeing you from a distance, you give the best support that I think any player would want, and I’m looking forward to a great journey,” said ‘Gaucho’.
