The Buccaneers are set to welcome Andrew Sparkes as their new goalkeeper coach, following his confirmed departure from the Welsh club.
"Andrew Sparkes has left his role as Head of Academy Goalkeeping at Swansea City to join Orlando Pirates," read a statement on the Swans' website on Tuesday.
Sparkes spent six years at the club, which was automatically relegated after ending in 18th position at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
"His new role will be as first-team goalkeeping coach with the Pirates, one of the biggest clubs in South Africa," further read the statement.
Pirates ended second on the Absa Premiership table last season and will thus be contesting the 2018/19 CAF Champions League, which kicks off in December.
The former New York Red Bulls academy coach, who will be working with the likes of Brilliant Khuzwayo, Siyabonga Mpontshane, Jackson Mabokgwane and Wayne Sandilands, has commented on his departure from Swansea.
“I’m so thankful for the opportunity the club has given me. I’ve been so lucky to work with so many talented players and excellent staff during my time.”
The Bucs commenced their pre-season preparations on Monday.
