City snapped up the 19-year-old from ABC Motsepe League outfit Buya Msuthu in Rustenburg.
“Lehlohonolo Nhlapo has been signed by Polokwane City,” Msuthu team manager Norman Makhubela tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“He can play as a winger on both flanks; he can play as a number ten. They scouted him during the play-offs that were held in Polokwane.”
Rise and Shine are expected to showcase at least six recruits today, including Mbabane Swallows midfielder Banele Skhondze.
City flirted with relegation for much of the season before finishing 12th in the Absa Premiership standings under coach Bernard Molekwa last term.
Molekwa was heavily reliant on striker Rodney 'RamaG' Ramagalela, who scored 11 league goals to share the Golden Boot with Mamelodi Sundowns star Percy Tau.
