On Monday South Gauteng High Court Judge Denise Fisher ruled in favour of Ajax Cape Town in the Tendai Ndoro case, effectively reinstating the Urban Warriors to 15th place on the Absa Premiership standings and deeming the promotion/relegation play-offs null and void, which were won by Leopards at the expense of Jomo Cosmos and Platinum Stars.
Fisher overruled a decision by SAFA arbitrator William Mokhari to dock Ajax seven points for fielding Ndoro in the 2017/18 season on the premise he was ineligible, having represented three clubs in a season - in contravention of FIFA rules.
Mokhari's ruling in May saw Ajax knocked down from 15th to 16th spot, meaning they suffered automatic relegation and their place in the play-offs was taken by Stars.
Thidiela insists Lidoda Duvha are unaffected by Fisher's ruling, which is currently being studied by the PSL.
"No, the judge didn't say the play-offs will be played again," Thidiela tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"The judge didn't say that, no. Ajax asked for three things. They asked for the decision to be set aside, they asked to be returned to number 15 and for the play-offs to be played again, but the judge didn't agree to that.
"The only thing she agreed was the setting aside of the verdict. There is nothing, this doesn't involve us."
