Maritzburg United goalkeeper Brylon Petersen is a classic example of a loyalist to a specific brand having traded in his BMW hatchback for a newer version. Here's a look.
The story
The former Kaizer Chiefs star is a Wits University graduate in Mechanical Engineering and we can imagine that his know-how about the specifics of cars certainly came into play when he decided not to switch the model or brand of his BMW 1 Series, but instead trade it in for a later edition.

A BMW loyalist
It is true that some people have always been satisfied with just one type of car. During his days with the Amakhosi reserve team in 2018, the goalie upgraded his BMW 118i. His older version was red in colour and it was replaced by a white one.
The player seemed quite emotional when this happened as he admitted that he had way too many good memories with his older ride. At the same time, he was pleased with his new toy, which also has a sunroof like the previous one - both cars can be seen in the gallery on top.
Did you know?
Petersen broke through at the Varsity Football Tournament while playing for WITS FC and he later caught the eye of Chiefs as he was invited for trials. The deal was sealed in 2016 as he moved from the reserve team to the first team set up in Naturena.
Your thoughts, please?
