Imagine sitting in a steering-less vehicle that drives itself and takes you wherever you want. This is what the brainiacs at Google have been working on recently at their headquarters in California.
The prototypes have been designed to eradicate the physical requirements of driving, giving people freedom of mobility without distraction while equally aiming to improve road safely and assisting those who have difficulty driving or can’t drive at all e.g. the blind and the elderly.
The current prototypes have been capped at 25 miles per hour while the interior at present includes two seats, stop and start buttons as well as a small space for belongings.
A hundred more prototypes have been earmarked from production this year.
