Stellenbosch gents get down and dirty

The Stellenbosch side took a quick breather from their intense pre-season preparations to get down and dirty on their Quad bikes. Check it out!

What Happened?

The Cape Town-based side had a successful season which saw them narrowly miss out on second place as their local rivals Cape Town City beat them by two points.

This was the highest finish yet for Steve Barker's side and they will be hoping they can do even better after bringing in six signings including a former Borussia Dortmund man.

Daring ballers

Stellies appear to be hard at work in training but the DStv Premiership team recently left their boots at home and went on a team building adventure to SA Forest Adventures.

This saw many of them getting on quad bikes before some of the more brave guys decided to go zip lining which is the act of riding a cable from one point in the air to another using a helmet.

While the four-wheelers are also dangerous to get on as Quad bikers commonly sustain broken bones including the wrists, forearms and ankles.

Dislocation of the shoulder and elbow has also been noted after a fall. The most dangerous injuries are sustained following a rollover or bike crash.

Did you know?

While the exact start of ziplining is a bit of a mystery, the earliest uses give us some ideas. Himalayan natives used primitive ziplines to traverse the land faster and, believe it or not, safer.

Your thoughts, please?

What do you think of the players' team building?
