With Thulani Hlatshwayo set to leave Orlando Pirates after two seasons at the club, we've decided to look at just how big of a deal Tyson was, and perhaps still is!
The story
Still undoubtedly a top-class player in the South African top-flight, one must admit that there was a time when the experienced defender was flying high.
He won every available trophy in the country across the three clubs he has played for, namely Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits, and the Bucs. In addition to that, the 32-year-old has over 50 Bafana Bafana caps and he became so exceptional that he scored a deal with a dealership, Volkswagen Constantia!

Although it is unclear whether the partnership is still in place, one cannot take away the fact that it was a pretty big deal! The centre-back became an ambassador of the company and he was blessed with the luxury of getting to drive some really hot VWs.
It is quite something, to say it mildly, and the Soweto-born star still had his own car, a rugged 4x4 Jeeper Wrangler. Having that vehicle and still getting to drive around in various VW Golf 7 GTIs is really nothing to be modest about.
Did you know?
Hlatshwayo made his international debut in July 2013 and after some time, he served as national team captain for four years.
Your thoughts, please?
Do you think Tyson was perhaps unfairly treated at Ezimnyama Ngenkani?
