2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying wrap

Cote d'Ivoire have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Niger 3-0 on Friday evening.

Serge Aurier, Max Gradel and Serge Wilfried Kanon secured the win and qualification for the Elephants.

Morocco's qualification to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations was confirmed before their goalless draw with Mauritania on Friday night.

Burundi kept their qualifying hopes alive with a come-from-behind 2-2 draw against Central Africa.

Saidi Ntibazonkiza and Christophe Nduwarugira were on target in the final 30 minutes after Louis Mafouta had put the visitors 2-0 up.

Burundi sit level on points with Mauritania in Group E, while Central Africa are bottom with four points ahead of the final round matches next week.

Congo's qualifying hopes remain in their hands despite playing to a goalless draw with already-qualified Senegal on Friday evening.

Congo only need a point from their final Group I game against Guinea-Bissau to secure their ticket to next year's tournament.

Cape Verde Island moved up to second spot in Group F with a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Cape Verde.

Kuca, Macky Bagnack and Ryan Mendes managed to get on target for the hosts after Pierre Kunde Malong opened the scoring for Cameroon after the first minute.

Guinea-Bissau's fate will go down to their final Group I game following a 3-1 win over Eswatini.

Marcelo Djalo, Alfa Semedo and Pele got the maximum points ahead of Tuesday's must-win clash against second-place Congo.
