2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying wrap

Algeria 5-0 Botswana

Algeria brushed Botswana aside in their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Monday night.

Mehdi Zeffane got proceedings underway midway through the first half for the African champions.

It got better in the second half as Sofiane Feghouli, Riyad Mahrez, Baghdad Bounedjah and Farid Boulaya completed the rout.

Zimbabwe 0-2 Zambia

Patson Daka bagged a brace to guide Zambia to a 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in their final group encounter.

The Warriors finish second in Group H while the win sees Zambia finish in third.

Burkina Faso 1-0 South Sudan

Burkina Faso defeated South Sudan 1-0 at Stade du 4 Aout in their final Group B encounter.

Bertrand Traore netted the solitary goal in the 50th minute.

The Stallions finish top of the group, while South Sudan finish bottom.

Angola 2-0 Gabon

Angola secured a 2-0 win over Gabon in a dead-rubber on Monday afternoon.

Show opened the scoring in the 63rd minute before Loide Augusto made it 2-0 in the 69th minute.

Gabon's progress was already secured and they end the qualifying campaign in second, while the Angolans finish bottom.

DR Congo 1-0 Gambia

DR Congo secured their third win of the qualifying campaign with a 1-0 triumph over Gambia in Kinshasa.

Kazadi Kazengu's penalty in first-half stoppage time was enough to separate the two sides.

The Gambians had already booked their ticket to Cameroon in the previous round and finish top, while the Leopards narrowly miss out as they finish in third.

Egypt 4-0 Comoros

Egypt claimed a convincing 4-0 victory over Comoros at Cairo international stadium.

The Pharaohs scored all four of their goals in the space of 10 minutes in the first half through Mohamed Elneny and Mohamed Sherif and a Mohamed Salah brace.

Egypt top the group, while Comoros have also secured a place in the continental showpiece as they finish in second.

Togo 1-2 Kenya

Kenya secured a 2-1 victory over Togo at Stade de Kegue.

Hassan Abdallah's 32nd-minute broke the deadlock before Masoud Juma doubled the lead in the 65th minute. Henri Eninful pulled a goal back in the fourth minute of stoppage time but it was a little too late.

Kenya finish in third with seven points and Togo bottom with two points.
