Rwanda 0-0 Nigeria
Nigeria failed to register consecutive wins to consolidate top spot in Group D of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after playing to a goalless draw with Rwanda on Tuesday.
The point maintained the Super Eagles' position atop the group standings though, having played two matches in the group to date.
Rwanda, who are yet to win have now played successive draws from their opening two encounters in the group and sit in third-place.
Liberia 0-3 Algeria
Algeria maintained a hundred percent record in Group E courtesy of a convincing 3-0 victory over Liberia.
The two-time champions continued their menacing act particularly up top where Amine Gouiri was on hand to make the breakthrough with Adem Zorgane following suit a while later.
It got worse for the Lome Stars post the interval and witnessed the Desert Foxes pile in further blows as dangerman Baghdad Bounedjah pounced to draw the clash to a close.
Zimbabwe 0-0 Cameroon
A resilient Zimbabwe registered their second point in Group J through a credible goalless draw against the mighty Cameroon.
The draw denied the Indomitable Lions the chance to cement top spot in the group but dropped to second spot and third in group standings currently.
Namibia 1-2 Kenya
Namibia succumbed to yet another set-back in the qualifiers in Group J as Kenya recorded a 2-1 victory to move to the top of the group at the Orlando Stadium.
With no goals scored in the first half, the Harambee Stars turned out strong in the second stanza and were ahead through John Avire and Duke Abuya.
The Brave Warriors weren't sitting back but looked to salvage something from the clash as Orlando Pirates' Deon Hotto pulled one back, however it wasn't to be with Kenya securing the win.
Zambia 3-2 Sierra Leone
Zambia got their qualifying campaign off the mark in Group G with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Sierra Leone and moved into second spot.
Chipolopolo showed courage just moments after the start when Kennedy Musonda, who plies his trade for Tanzania's Young Africans, broke the deadlock.
The lead was extremely short-lived though as the Leone Stars hit back through Augustus Kargbo and effectively forced the clash to end level at halftime.
Kelvin Kampamba restored the lead for the host in the second half, but Hindolo Thomas Mustapha soon levelled before Kings Kangwa turned up to give the Chipolopol victory with the winning strike.
Chad 0-2 Cote d'Ivoire
Reigning champions Cote d'Ivoire claimed a successive win in the other action in Group G through a 2-0 victory over Chad.
It took sometime for the clash to light up but the Elephants who secured this very cup back in 2015 remained calm all-round and took the lead on the stroke of halftime through Jean-Philippe Krasso.
The title holders remained in control ten minutes in the second half and increased the lead through a finish from Oumar Diakite which turned out to be the final nail in the home side's coffin.
