Uganda 1-0 South Sudan
Uganda kept their hopes to reach the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations alive with a hard-fought 1-0 win over South Sudan in a Group K contest.
The Cranes headed into the game on top of the group, with the visitors bottom and with no point after losing the opening two to Congo and South Africa.
South Sudan's fortunes didn't improve this time around and succumbed to an early second half finish from Bevis Mugabi and meet the Cranes again in a few days time.
The win sees Uganda cement top spot for another matchday, while the visitors remain without a point after three matches played.
Ivory Coast 4-1 Sierra Leone
Defending champions Ivory Coast remained with a perfect record at the top of Group G and thumped Sierra Leone 4-1 out in Abidjan.
Nicolas Pepe set the wheel in motion and netted after three minutes from an assist by Jean-Philippe Krasso.
The African champions could've extended the lead with a spot-kick towards the end of the first half but former AC Milan and FC Barcelona man Franck Kessie failed to capitalise.
Sierra Leone earned a route back just before halftime when Alhassan Koroma pounced to apply a decent finish as the first period finished level pegging.
The Elephants still though enjoyed control as Kessie made up for the missed spot-kick and actually went on to convert a penalty late on to make matters comfortable.
Yet another opportunity through the spot were presented for the host and saw Oumar Diakite found the net to put the clash to bed.
Nigeria 1-0 Libya
Nigeria returned to winning ways in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Group D and overcame Libya 1-0 on Friday.

With matters tight throughout, the winner came in the final four minutes through Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and guided the Super Eagles to maximum points.
Egypt 2-0 Mauritania
Egypt took one step towards qualification for the finals next year after seeing off Mauritania 2-0 in a Group C encounter out in Cairo.
The Pharaohs remain unbeaten in the group and with a perfect record too, as goals in the second half from Trezeguet and Mohamed Salah got the job done.
Another instalment of this clash awaits the two nations in midweek where the Egyptians make the trip to visit the Mauritanians in the return leg of the qualifying clash.
Senegal 4-0 Malawi
Senegal hammered Malawi 4-0 to record back-to-back victories in the qualifiers and remained level on points with their Group L leaders Burkina Faso.
The Flames were dealt a huge blow earlier on as goalkeeper Brighton Munthali received his marching orders for a coming-together outside of his area.
It worked in the favour of the Teranga Lions who went ahead not long afterwards courtesy of Pape Gueye before star man Sadio Mane pounced to double the lead in the second half.
Malawi continued to fall apart as Boulaye Dia and Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson netted in the final exchanges of the clash and rounded up the clash.
