A star based in Europe has reportedly been excluded from his nation's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations squad after accusing his manager of stealing.
Guinea midfielder Morlaye Sylla, who plays his club football for Liga Portugal side FC Arouca, will not be travelling to the Ivory Coast for the 34th edition of the continental tournament following a bizarre incident that took place earlier this year.

According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old was involved in Guinea's 4-1 defeat to Brazil in June. After the game, Sylla swapped shirts with Vinicius Jr, who had scored an 88th minute penalty to put the game beyond doubt.
When he got to the dressing room, however, the Real Madrid star's jersey was said to have vanished.
This reportedly caused the Arouca midfielder to accuse his teammates of being involved in the shirt's disappearance, before he pointed a finger at National Elephants manager Kaba Diawara.
The player is said to have insisted on searching the belongings of those in the dressing room, hopeful of finding the Brazilian's jersey.
His conduct after losing the item, coupled with his refusal to apologise for his behaviour, is reportedly why he has been left out of Guinea's squad for AFCON 2023.
However, Diawara's men will have been boosted by the inclusion of Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy in their 25-man squad. The attacker has been superb in the Bundesliga so far this season, having scored 17 goals in just 14 league matches.
Another big name included in the Guinea side is former Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita, who now plies his trade for German side Werder Bremen after leaving the Reds in July this year.
