Former Ivory Coast and Manchester City star Yaya Toure has named Bafana Bafana as one of the favourites for the Africa Cup of Nations.
South Africa will be back at the Africa Cup of Nations after qualifying as group winners ahead of Morocco earlier this year.
Bafana last won the tournament in 1996, while there last appearance in a final came two years later when they lost 2-0 to Egypt.

Toure, who won Afcon with Ivory Coast in 2015, has given his favourites, but surprisingly left out Nigeria.
"It's normal to have a preference for your own country," Toure said, as per Afrique Sports.
"Côte d'Ivoire has a strong team and many talented and experienced players.
"But if I had to choose the teams I think are favourites, I'd say Senegal, Morocco, Guinea-Bissau, and South Africa.
"They had an impressive qualifying campaign."
The tournament gets underway on 13 January in Abidjan, with the host Ivory Coast taking on Guinea-Bissau in the tournament opener.
