An African international star who left Chelsea just last year was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after he collapsed on the pitch while representing his club side in Europe.
As reported by Africa Top Sports, Ghana international Abdul Baba Rahman is receiving additional care in hospital after he collapsed on the pitch following a harrowing mid-air collision with another player.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening during the Greek Cup semi-final encounter between Panathinaikos and Rahman's PAOK.
The crowd is said to have been left devastated when the Black Stars fullback lay on the pitch motionless, and made urgent calls for medical assistance to be rushed on to the field and help the player.
The former Chelsea defender was revived, and swiftly rushed to hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

The shocking moment came in the 115th minute of the game, which had gone to extra-time after the two teams held each other to a 2-2 draw.
As a result, the match was briefly delayed before it eventually reached a penalty shootout, which Rahman's side unfortunately lost as Panathinaikos emerged 6-5 victors, ensuring their place in the Greek Cup final.
The player has since issued an update on his recovery via social media, stating that his recovery is going well and that "no major damage" was done.

Rahman joined PAOK from Chelsea in July last year, and has since contributed to six goals for the Greek side this season.
