Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller has issued a cautionary message to Miguel Cardoso and his Mamelodi Sundowns charges ahead of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
The Red Devils are set to face off against Downs over the two legs of the Champions League semi-finals after both teams advanced to this round following victories in the quarterfinals against Al Hilal and Esperance de Tunis, respectively.
Koller's side will lock horns with the Brazilians who are currently managed by the new coach, Cardoso. Ahly last secured a victory over the South African Champions in the same tournament in May 2021.

Ahly aims to maintain their aspirations of winning the tournament for the 13th time, while Masandawana seeks to preserve their chances of lifting the trophy for the second time.
Despite being aware of Sundowns' potential threats, the Swiss tactician is confident his team will overcome the Betway Premiership giants to set the final against either Orlando Pirates or Pyramid FC.
"I don't focus on numbers, despite Al-Ahly's superiority under my leadership in the knockout stages and not losing with me," Koller said according to Ahlynews.com.

"Al-Ahly is capable of overcoming Sundowns in the semi-finals. The match will be extremely difficult, and their opponent has the same motivations as us."
