Two heavyweight African teams are reportedly battling to acquire coach Herve Renard's services.
With the 55-year-old confirming he will be parting ways with the France women's national team after the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Egypt and Nigeria are both vying for his signature, according to FootMercato journalist Santi Aouna.

The Nigeria Football Federation is believed to have previously expressed their interest in securing the two-time Africa Cup of Nations winner's signature, and were said to view him as the ideal candidate to fill the void left by previous manager Finidi George.
It his claimed their stance on potentially appointing the former Ivory Coast manager has not changed.
When Renard leaves his current post, he will not be short of options as Egypt are also said to be interested in acquiring his services despite already having Hossam Hassan as their head coach.
In fact, according to Aouna, both nations have approached the coach with official offers.
The Pharaohs are claimed to have tabled an annual net salary of €1.9 million (R37 million), while the Super Eagles are said to have offered him net €2 million (R39 million) a year.
Another unnamed team is also believed to be monitoring the situation, and is said to have made contact with the former Morocco boss, but no offer is reported to have been made by them.
It has been suggested that the French tactician is eager to return to the continent on which he managed to win the AFCON with Zambia in 2012, before doing so again with Ivory Coast in 2015.

Renard is one of just five managers who have won the tournament on two occasions, but remains the only coach to have done so with two different nations.
