The victory confirmed Ahly as the winners of African-Asian-Pacific Cup.
As such, the Red Devils will face the winner of the match between Mexico's CF Pachuca and the yet-to-be-determined CONMEBOL champion on 14 December.
Should Al Ahly win that game, they will then meet European champions Real Madrid in final of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup on 18 December.
Speaking after the CAF giants' victory over United Arab Emirates side Al-Ain, Mortagy insisted that the Egyptian giants are the biggest team on the planet.
He told Abu Dhabi Sports Channel: "Al Ahly always wants to please its greedy fans who only accept being number one.
"This is a new championship added to Al Ahly's trophy cabinets of this type.
"This indicates that Al Ahly is not only the largest fortress, but the largest sports fortress in the entire world.
"Al Ahly fans are the origin. The ones who made Al Ahly club are its fans. I hope that Egyptian football will always have this presence because its foundation is the fans.
"The success of any event is measured by the audience's attendance, and their attendance today was wonderful."
