It is reported that a Benin national team star is now the subject of interest from both Zamalek SC and Kaizer Chiefs.
The January transfer window is set to open imminently, with various clubs now having the opportunity to strengthen their squads.
Zamalek has been linked with a few players in recent times, including rival Al Ahly star Percy Tau and former Liverpool player Ovie Ejaria.

Chiefs, meanwhile, have also been linked with Tau amid an underwhelming start to the season, which has seen the Soweto giants pick up only four wins from 10 Betway Premiership matches.
While Tau seems to be a common transfer target between the two African juggernauts, another player could be the subject of a tug of war between Zamalek and Amakhosi.
According to 229foot.com, Zamalek and Chiefs are interested in signing 21-year-old star Hassane Imourane from Loto FC in the Benin top flight.
Imourane, who has already made 15 appearances for his country, is considered to be one of the most highly rated talents in his nation, with Simba SC also reportedly keeping tabs on him.
The report also claims that the deep-lying playmaker was offered to Zamalek by his representatives, and the Cairo outfit revealed that they would be open to his arrival.
In October, Chiefs announced that their Venezuelan defensive midfielder Edson Castillo would be sidelined for a period of four to five months due to a fractured fibula he sustained during a game against SuperSport United.
As such, it remains to be seen whether the club will successfully bring in a replacement in that key position.
