Al Ahly manager Marcel Koller has defended his tactics against Simba SC over the two legs after advancing to the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
The Red Devils secured a 2-0 win in the second leg on Friday evening to seal their ticket in the final four for another year.
There was some criticism after the first leg win in Tanzania for the way Al Ahly sat back at times.

Koller posed a question to the supporters and claimed they played to the style of their opponent.
"We overcame difficult circumstances in the first leg in Tanzania and we played with this style for the first time. We scored three goals in both games and we qualified," the Ahly coach said, as per Ahram Online.
"Which is better for the fans? Playing with this style and achieving our target or delivering exciting football but receiving goals at the same time?
"I always choose the appropriate playing style for every opponent. I did that against Simba and we achieved our target," he concluded.
The Red Devils will now face Congolese giants TP Mazembe in the semi-final round.
