Percy Tau's celebrations after winning the CAF Champions League were reportedly interrupted by a penalty his club Al Ahly imposed on the player.
The Red Devils beat Tunisian side Esperance Sportive de Tunis by a goal to nil in the second leg of the final on Saturday to clinch a record 12th CAFCL title.

An own goal by Blood and Gold midfielder Roger Aholou in the fourth minute of the tie was enough to see the Egyptian giants go on and lift the trophy once again.
During the game, however, tension was said to have arisen between Tau and his manager Marcel Koller following the tactician's decision to substitute the former Mamelodi Sundowns star.
The South African objected his coach's call in a disagreement that required the intervention of teammates, and according to Egyptian journalist Medhat Shalaby, a fine has been issued to the Bafana Bafana star as a result.

"Khaled Bibo [Al Ahly's director of football] informed Percy Tau that he would be fined because of his objection to Marcel Koller's decision during his exit from the Esperance match," Shalaby said via Kora365.
"But Percy Tau apologised to the technical staff after the match ended. Reda Slim and some players had intervened to resolve the crisis and lift the financial fine from the player.
"There is talk between Bibo and Koller about lifting the fine, but the decision within the club is still to implement the fine, especially since this is not the first time the player has objected to his change during matches."
Despite the controversy, the Egyptian giants cemented their status as African powerhouses, having now won the CAFCL for the fourth time in five seasons.
