Al Ahly are reportedly set to receive a new offer for Percy Tau, with it now being suggested that the South African star could be close to the exit door.
A club from the United Arab Emirates has expressed a strong interest in acquiring the Bafana Bafana star's services with an "attractive" offer having been made, according to Egyptian newspaper El Watan, per Massahat Sport.

The attacker has previously been linked with South African giants Kaizer Chiefs, while newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side Al Kholood and another Saudi club, Al Wehda, were also said to have made offers for the player.
Those bids, however, were believed to have been rejected due to being too "weak", with the club said to have put a price tag of between $2 million (about R36 million) and $3 million (R54 million) on the forward.

The South African also reportedly rejected those offers due to the salary being too low, with it believed that he would be open to a move away if the offer is suitable.
It has now been suggested that the unnamed Emirati club interested in Tau has placed an annual salary of $2 million (R36 million) on the table in an attempt to land his signature in the current transfer window.
Reports further indicate that the Gulf club are set to approach Al Ahly with an official offer too, after which it is claimed the initiative will be handed to manager Marcel Koller, who will make the final decision on the transfer.
It has previously been reported that the Swiss tactician would allow Tau to leave the club as long as the 12-time CAF Champions League winners provide him with a suitable replacement.
After a spell on the sidelines due to a second-degree hamstring strain he sustained while on international duty in June, the 30-year-old returned to the pitch last week in emphatic fashion, scoring the winner as they beat Modern Future 2-1.

With the Red Devils looking to get their hands on yet another league title, the Bafana Bafana star will be hoping to have a similar impact when the Cairo outfit take on first-placed Pyramids on Monday night.
A victory in that fixture could see second-placed Al Ahly narrow the gap between first and second to just three points as the title race begins to heat up.
