A former Al Ahly star claims that Bafana Bafana international Percy Tau remains one of the best players at the African champions.
Tau's contract with the CAF Champions League holders expires at the end of the current season and it's look likely that the two parties will go their separate ways.
There have been reports in Egypt claiming that Al Ahly could look to offload the South African forward in the January transfer window by terminating his contract mutually.

However, former Egypt and Al Ahly midfielder Mohamed Emara is hopeful that the Egyptian giants will change their mind on the 30-year-old
"I reject Percy Tau's departure from Al-Ahly, and I hope the South African player will continue in the Red Castle for the next year, because he is a very influential player," the 50-year-old told On Sport FM.
"Percy Tau is one of the best players in Al-Ahly, along with Hussein El-Shahat and Mohamed Magdy Afsha, and we must keep him and not let go of his services."
Meanwhile, Wydad Casablanca president Hicham Ait Menna recently shot down claims they are in talks with Tau and his Al Ahly teammate Reda Selim.
"We will not enter into negotiations with Al-Ahly duo Reda Selim and Percy Tau, and there has been no communication with the duo to contract with them in the upcoming transfers," the president told Radio Mars.
"What was recently circulated about the approaching signing of the Al-Ahly duo, Reda Selim and Percy Tau, is baseless, and we did not enter into negotiations with any of them."
