An Al Wahda star has now insisted Pitso Mosimane deserves credit despite the head coach leaving the United Arab Emirates side under a cloud last month.
The three-time CAF Champions League winner joined the UAE Pro League team in June this year, but parted ways with the club just four months after his appointment.

The South African oversaw just seven league games for Al Wahda, winning four of them and losing the other three encounters.
At the time of his departure, the side was fifth on the table, with just five points separating them from the team at the top.
It was the shortest managerial stint of his career.
Currently, Al Wahda are still fifth on the table, seven points behind league leaders Al Wasl, while they have also qualified for the semi-finals of the UAE League Cup after beating Al Jazira 5-4 on aggregate earlier this month.
According to centre-back Lucas Pimenta, though, the club's former head coach deserves plaudits for the recent results the team have been picking up.
"Mosimane is a wonderful coach, and throughout his tenure he worked to instil the spirit of victory in the team," Pimenta told Emirates Al Youm via Dubai Sports.
"He is credited with what we are currently offering."
The defender was also full of praise for the former Al Ahly coach's replacement Arno Buitenweg, who was in charge of the reserve team during Mosimane's tenure.
"Buitenweg is also a wonderful coach, and he brought with him some tactics that helped the team," Pimenta added.
