The International Federation of Football History Statistics (IFFHS) has revealed a list of the best clubs in the world in 2024, with Al Ahly being the highest ranked team in Africa, while Mamelodi Sundowns are the best from South Africa.

The IFFHS recently published a list of the best clubs in the word between 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024.

Spanish giants Real Madrid top the list following a successful 2023/24 season, which saw them claim three trophies, including LALIGA and the UEFA Champions League.

As such, Ahly are ranked above some of Europe's big clubs, including FC Porto, RB Leipzig, AC Milan, and Manchester United. It is also revealed that the Cairo outfit moved up four places in the IFFFHS rankings, as they were 18th in the previous list.
