On 5 November, Esperance confirmed the appointment of their new head coach, Laureniu Reghecampf, replacing former boss Miguel Cardoso after he was sacked just seven games into the new season in October.

It now appears that the new man at the helm has wasted no time asserting his presence at the Tunisian giants, as it is now being reported that an African teenage sensation is already training with the club.

According to WinWin.com, Ivorian right-winger Hamed Coulibaly is now training with Esperance ahead of an official announcement as the club's newest signing.

The report indicates that the 19-year-old star arrived in the Tunisian capital on the recommendation of the club's sporting director Haithem Abid, as part of their strategy to find the best young players in Africa.

After starring in the FC San Pedro academy, Coulibaly caught the eye of Esperance and was handed an opportunity to trial at the club.

It is suggested that Esperance became aware of Coulibaly's talent when they approached the Ivorian giants San Pedro in August over the signing of Abdramane Konate, who completed a €500 000 (R9.6 million) move that same month.

Meanwhile, Reghecampf signed a deal until June 2026, meaning that he is expected to be in charge of Esperance when they play at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Elsewhere, the previous boss, Cardoso, only handed Mokwana one start during his reign, with his six other appearances so far coming as a substitute.
