Enraged agent 'places curse' on African star in Europe

An African star formerly of Manchester United has reportedly had a curse placed on him by an enraged agent.

Former Red Devils defender Eric Bailly has been sent a series of text messages of a threatening nature from the agent, who claims he deserves money for the role he supposedly played when the footballer left Old Trafford for Besiktas in September, according to the Mirror

The Ivory Coast international was involved in his side's 3-1 defeat to Fenerbahce on the weekend, and during that match, he was said to have received a text from the agent promising to put a curse on him.

Following the message, Bailly was penalised in the box following a mistimed tackle, with the penalty was subsequently being converted by Dusan Tadic in the 63rd minute to give Fener a 2-1 lead.

Per the Mirror, the agent then sent Bailly a message saying: "I am happy to see what my curse is doing to you. You are not a man. You are a big Mickey Mouse."

These were, however, not the only messages the Ivorian had received from the unnamed person. It is believed the player was sent more messages that posed potential threats to his safety in Turkey, with the agent reportedly threatening to send people his way.

Besiktas is understood to have received all the information pertaining to the matter, and promised to escalate it to the police.

Meanwhile, Bailly's actual agent, his uncle Severin Bohui, told the British news outlet that only he was involved in brokering the defender's move from England to Turkey.

"He's not stopped sending him threats, messages and blackmails. He is insinuating Eric owes him some money, because he was part of the people who brokered his move to Besiktas. Therefore Eric should pay him some money.

"I asked Eric if he signed any intermediation contract with this guy, he said no. I also asked the club if they knew this guy or if they asked him to speak to Eric on their behalf, they also said no. Same old story of agents trying to barge in deals.

"One thing is for sure, this guy has not stopped harassing Eric. He even sent him a message today after their defeat to Fenerbahce.

"He's threatening to send people out to him so I don't think blocking him will solve the problem. This is more of a security issue than a FIFA one."
