A France star has now explained his decision to choose to play for Les Bleus, despite being eligible for England and two African giants.
Michael Olise recently received his first call-up for the France senior national team ahead of their upcoming UEFA Nations League clashes against Italy and Belgium.

The winger joined Bayern from Crystal Palace in the recent transfer window, penning a five-year contract in a move worth €53 million (R1 billion).
Evidently, the 22-year-old is among the most highly rated young players in Europe, and played in influential role in the France U21 team that clinched a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Olise has also been sought-after at international level, too, thanks to his diverse heritage, which made him eligible for four different national teams, namely, England, Nigeria, France, and Algeria.
The attacker was born in London to a Nigerian father and a Franco-Algerian mother, and Olise has since confirmed why he chose Les Bleus above them all.
"My mother comes from France, I came here as a child," he said in a press conference on Tuesday, as per L'Equipe.
"I had the connection with the French team, that's why I play for France."

Meanwhile, France boss Didier Deschamps was full of praise for the Bayern star as he explained his decision to call him up.
"He has great potential. He is a young player, who is making progress," he said, according to beIN Sports.
"The closer he is to the goal, the better he is.
"He can play on either flank, although I think he feels more at home on the right than on the left."
