Frustrated stars 'consider' leaving Rulani's Wydad

A number of players at Rulani Mokwena's Wydad Athletic Club have reportedly become frustrated at the club and are considering leaving as a result.

The Red Castle have had a mixed bag of results in their first five Botola Pro 1 games under the South African tactician, winning two of their encounters, drawing on two occasions, and losing once.

With the side sitting in sixth position on the league table, their next challenge comes in the form of Chabab Mohammedia, and it is suggested that the former Mamelodi Sundowns manager has set his focus on establishing his ideal starting XI.

The coach is also suggested to be trying to create harmony between players, as well as a "competitive spirit".

With a wealth of players in each position, it is understood there is strong competition between players to try to secure a place in the starting line-up.

However, this approach has seemingly "marginalised" some players who have previously been important players at the club, with the change of roles causing them frustration, according to Moroccan news site Madar 21

As a result, a number of first-teamers are believed to be considering moves away from the Red Castle in the next transfer window, with it said that Mokwena's focus clashes with the players' aspirations.

The head coach and his staff are now reported to be trying to control the atmosphere within the dressing room, with some crucial decisions having to be made.

The former Orlando Pirates coach will be looking to lead the Moroccan outfit to a better season than their last.
