Al Ahly manager Marcel Koller has reportedly revealed his stance on Percy Tau amid confusion surrounding the star's future at the club.
The Red Devils boss has requested that the club extend the South African's contract, which is set to expire next year, according to Al Ahram.

It has further been claimed that the player has received offers from Gulf clubs and has also been linked with a shock move to South African giants Kaizer Chiefs.
The forward recently helped the Egyptian side to their record-extending 12th CAF Champions League title, after beating Tunisian outfit Esperance Sportive de Tunis 1-0 on aggregate in a two-legged showdown.
After their triumph, it was reported that the club's hierarchy decided to try extend the former Brighton Hove Albion star's stay in Cairo.

It has been claimed, however, that the 30-year-old the intention to leave Al Ahly in an effort to search for a fresh challenge, with it being said that the star desires a return to Europe.
Tau has previously plied his trade at Belgian sides Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Club Brugge, and RSC Anderlecht as well as the Seagulls, the club from which the Red Devils purchased him in August 2021.
The African giants, however, are said to remain keen on clinging onto his services, despite reports suggesting that initial contract talks dried up following a number of meetings.

This comes after the Bafana Bafana star received a punishment for his reaction to being taken off the field by Koller during the CAFCL final.
