'I talk inside the pitch' - Yanga coach on Chiefs win

Young Africans coach Miguel Gamondi showered his charges with praise after their comprehensive 4-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.

The Argentine also highlighted that he does his talking on the field, and constantly advocates for offensive football regardless of the occasion.

A brace from the highly-rated Stephane Aziz Ki, with Clement Mzize and Prince Dube adding to the fray handed the current champions of Tanzania victory over the Amakhosi.

Before meeting the Amakhosi, Yanga claimed a narrow win over TS Galaxy in the Mpumalanga Premiers Cup but had lost to Bundesliga's FC Augsburg in the same competition.

"You see, I don't like to talk too much but always do it inside the pitch. But I tell you we always like to play offensive football, but very compact football," Gamondi told SuperSport TV.

"We're defending very well, we didn't give any opportunity to Kaizer Chiefs to create chances or shots on goal and we were very realistic, we performed very well. I'm very happy.

"I love these players, it's one of the reasons why I stayed with Yanga this season. But the quality (of the players) is very good, the way they're learning and working it's fantastic."

With the start of the Tanzanian Premier League on the horizon, Gamondi believes they are on track but cautions the need to keep their feet on the ground as it's looking bright.

On dismantling the Amakhosi, the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach refuses to read too much into it.

"I think we are in the right way to continued like that, we've a lot of room to improve but we need to keep out feet on the ground and go step-by-step and the future is looking very good," he added.

"Ja, but it's a pre-season game and we need to improve a lot of certain things but always me I'm always looking at perfection. I want more, more, and more and push the players to that as well. We'll see what will happen with the future, but with these kinds of players we don't fear nothing," Gamondi said.
