The Egyptian giants have now confirmed the arrival of Portuguese tactician Jose Gomes as their new head coach.

The 53-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a one-and-a-half year deal with the White Knights.

Gomes spent most of his coaching career in Europe, having managed in Portugal, England, Greece while he also coached in the Saudi Pro League.

Zamalek currently sit in 12th position on the Egyptian Premier League standings at the midway point.
