Simba captain sends warning to Tau's Al Ahly

Simba SC captain Mohamed Hussein had a message for defending African champions Al Ahly ahead of tonight's CAF Champions League tie.

The two sides will meet for the first time since their African Football League quarter-finals, where Al Ahly advanced on the away goals rule.

However, Al Ahly's last two visits to Simba have ended in defeat in Africa's premier competition.

Hussein says that coach Abdelhak Benchikha knows the Egyptian champions very well and will have a good plan for this evening.

"It is true that Al-Ahly is a great team and has a lot of experience in these stages. But Simba has a great coach who knows his opponents well," Hussein said, as per CAF's website.

"I believe that Abdelhak Benchikha's methods and his commitment will be the key to success."

Benchikha was charge of USM Alger in 2023 and helped the side beat Al Ahly 1-0 in the CAF Super Cup, but he says the two legged affair will be different.

"There is a big difference when I played against Al Ahly with USM Alger and that game was different from this one," Benchikha said, as per the Guardian.

"That was just a one-off match, but now we are going to play two games, which we must win to qualify."
