'Who said I’m leaving Al Ahly in January?'

The attacker has been a reliable talisman since joining the Egyptian Giants in January this year.

He has managed to score 24 goals in 34 appearances for the club so far, even bagging the Egyptian Premier League Golden Boot award last season with 18 strikes.

His contribution for his side on the continental front also helped them win the CAF Champions League for a record-extending 12th time.

The former Silkeborg IF forward seems to be hopeful of continuing to help the side.

"Who said I'm leaving in January? I'm staying beyond that," Abou Ali told Al Ahly TV per King Fut.

"I don't play alone. We are a team, and many players support me with great assists. I don't consider myself a foreigner — I'm Palestinian, and we are all brothers. I play to make the fans happy.

"As a striker, I put in a lot of effort on the pitch. I work hard to earn my place, and when I get the chance, I fight to keep it. I want everyone to love me, and I'm not the kind of person who creates problem.

"On the pitch, I'm a different person—I focus solely on scoring goals and helping the team.

"Off the pitch, I enjoy joking and having fun. Winning the Golden Boot in just half a season is a fantastic achievement, and it was only possible with the help of my teammates and the fans' support. I love Al Ahly fans."
