'Sergio Ramos can come if he wants'

A certain club has now opened the door to the signing of Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos.

Ramos has been without a club for six months after he left Sevilla as a free agent at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Since then, the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner has been linked with a number of destinations, including Major League Soccer, Saudi Arabia, Africa, and South America.

In September, CAF giants Zamalek SC confirmed that they had made contact with the Spaniard's agent, although nothing came of the discussions.

"Ali Hisham Nasr, the club's marketing official, contacted me about the possibility of negotiating with Sergio Ramos.

"I reached out to Sergio Ramos' brother, Rene, who is also his agent, to negotiate a transfer to Zamalek.

"Ramos did not object to playing in the Egyptian Premier League."

With the January transfer window just around the corner, another club, this time in Brazil, has opened its door to Ramos.

Pedro Lourenco, a 90% shareholder at Brazilian club Cruzeiro, told Radio Itatiaia: "If he wants to come, under Cruzeiro's conditions, he can come. We'll talk to him.

"Who knows, maybe it'll be him, because we're going to bring in a defender. Maybe Alexandre Mattos can handle it."

According to World Soccer Talk, Ramos has already rejected several clubs, including Corinthians, Mexican team Monterrey, and the new franchise in the United States, San Diego FC.
