Al Hilal star Neymar has issued a response to the recently revealed Ballon d'Or nominees, questioning a big absence from the list.
On Wednesday night, France Football released the nominees for this year's prestigious award, and while his Real Madrid teammates Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger and the retired Toni Kroos were included, Brazil star Rodrygo was absent from the 30-man shortlist.

The winger made 51 appearances for Los Blancos last season, registering 17 goals and nine assists to help the side secure yet another LALIGA title, a UEFA Champions League triumph and a Spanish Super Cup.
However, this was seemingly not enough to get on to the elite list of contenders for what is arguably the most esteemed individual award in world football.
Ahead of the awards ceremony set to take place on 28 October in Paris, former Barcelona forward Neymar took to social media to express his thoughts on his countryman being snubbed for the prize.
"Minimum top 5 in the world. Craque," the former Barca man wrote on Instagram.
Rodrygo's new teammate Kylian Mbappe also features in the shortlist for the 2024 Ballon d'Or award after scoring 44 goals and providing 10 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain last season.

The 23-year-old winger will likely be hoping to thrive in Los Blancos' attack over the course of the 2024/25 campaign to ensure that he is included when next year's list of nominees are revealed.
