Bayern Munich respond to Robert Lewandowski exit talks

There was talk about the Bavarians being open to the idea of letting the reigning FIFA Best Men's Player of the Year leave with the hope of bringing in Erling Haaland.

"Sure he stays. Who sells a player that scores 60 goals a year?" Rummenigge told Sport1.

The wife Gerard Mueller admits the former Bayern star would be happy to see Lewandowski equal his Bundesliga record.

"Gerd would be happy for him," Uschi Mueller told magazine Sport Bild.

"He would be the first to congratulate him.

"He was always surprised that someone hadn't caught up with him long ago.

"I am firmly convinced that Lewandowski will do it. He has played a great season, is a hard worker."
