Bayer Leverkusen dented Borussia Dortmund's title aspirations after claiming a 4-3 win at the BayArena on Saturday night.

An entertaining first half ended 2-2 after Jadon Sancho and Mats Hummels cancelled out Kevin Volland's brace.

Raphael Guerreiro restored Dortmund's lead on the hour mark, before Leon Bailey and Lars Bender completed the back for the hosts in the final 10 minutes.

Schalke took the lead midway in the second half through substitute Ahmed Kutucu, but Paderborn forced a draw in the last nine minutes through Klaus Gjasula.

Freiburg got back to winning ways after snatching a 1-0 win over TSG Hoffenheim in a mid-table battle in Freiburg.

A 40th minute penalty conversion from striker Luca Waldschmidt gave the hosts the all-important victory.
