Bayern Munich have secured their ninth successive Bundesliga title without even kicking a ball on Saturday afternoon, as Borussia Dortmund defeated RB Leipzig on Saturday afternoon.
It was just a matter of time though before Dortmund took charge after Marco Reus played a one-two out on the right-side to nestle the net seven minutes in after darting into the area.
Dortmund remained in control afterwards and could've had a second following the half-hour mark, but Jadon Sancho was foiled by goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi before finding the side-netting a little later.
Dortmund increased their lead five minutes in the second half after Sancho got out on the near side of the area to send a low pass from Raphael Guerreiro into the far corner of the net.
Julian Nagelsmann's boys halved the deficit with 30 minutes remaining as Lukas Klostermann outjumped Hummels from a corner-kick to head in off the far post.
Leipzig had the Black and Yellow pinned back thereafter and Dani Olmo nearly grabbed the equaliser from a tight angle, but found the side-netting.
Olmo made amends with 12 minutes to go when he met a cutback from Hwang to finish into an empty net with Burki way out of his area.
Dortmund recovered and got back in front four minutes from time when Sancho combined with Reus before going on to find an empty net after charging into the centre of the area.
The Red Bulls threw numbers forward in search of the equaliser, but Dortmund held on for the win to maintain fourth spot while Leipzig's loss hands Bayern their 31st title.
